Sewn Photographs

 

These sewn pieces are from my 'Issues' brief, with these photographs I experimented with using a sewing machine and also hand sewing which is media that I don't usually work in. However, I found that sewing into paper has a brilliant graphic effect and creates an interesting texture on the surface of the paper, I also found that it draws attention to a subject as the holes where the needle goes are still slightly visible and make the thread stand out.
