In order to take these photographs, I took a trip to Morecambe and worked closely with installation artist Steve Messam to explore a type of balloon photography that reflected his own work. When taking my photographs I considered framing, composition and lighting while also making sure to communicate the contrast between the vivid balloons and the dull concrete.
